Visa Defined

If you’re going to use a charge card to make credit purchases, choose your card wisely. The VISA Classic, VISA Gold, VISA Platinum, and Platinum Rewards are all low cost cards offering competitive interest rates and no annual fee.

Requirements:

You must meet credit union policy guideline standards for consumer debt ratio (CDR), credit history and length of employment.

You must have a regular savings account.

Benefits to You:

You’ll save money on your card with no annual fees and low interest rates. (There is a $20.00 inactivity fee if your card is not used in a year.)

You can avoid paying any finance charges as long as you pay your balance in full within 25 days from your closing date. This applies to purchases only. A late fee of $25.00 will be charged to your account if your payment is not received by 15 days after the statement due date. You will be charged $20.00 if you exceed your credit limit.

Your required monthly payment is equal to 2% of your balance, with a minimum of $10.00.

In addition to convenient loan access, you can make purchases and cash advances 24 hours a day, everyday. Cash advances are available at the credit union office, other financial institutions, and worldwide through VISA® ATM Network. There is a $5.00 cash advance minimum with a 3% fee. The fee will be a minimum of $5.00 but will not exceed $50.00.

You’ll find record keeping to be easy with detailed monthly statements.

You’ll automatically be covered with free travel accident insurance on VISA Gold and VISA Platinum when you use either of these cards to charge your travel expenses.

Your VISA cards can make credit life & disability insurance available to you.

You’ll feel more secure carrying credit cards than cash, plus they offer financial flexibility and control.

Your card will be reissued every 24 months. If you need to replace a card before that time, you may be subject to a $10.00 fee. (There is no charge to replace a stolen card if a police report is obtained.)
